Social Sector Internship (SSI) Committee Co-ordinator

The Social Sector Internship (SSI) is a mandatory 6-credit component of the BMS curriculum at Shiv Nadar Institution of Eminence. It is an 8-week long opportunity at the end of the 2nd year, to work on real-life projects with non-profit organizations (NGOs, government agencies, cooperatives, CSRs, etc.) under the guidance of eminent development professionals.
The SSI committee consists of 7 students + 1 faculty co-ordinator, and we are in charge of co-ordinating with the employing organisations and the student body (116 students) to ensure that every student lands an enriching and rewarding internship.

My role at this club involves working on marketing its events through both social media and offline channels, and volunteering for its teaching and donation drives.

On-Campus Job, Office of Vice-Chancellor
As a part of this role, I worked on:
1) Co-ordination, management, and execution of various in-reach events with various schools from the NCR region.
2) Young Thinkers Forum Masterclasses: Online sessions taken on dynamic subject matter by the faculty of Shiv Nadar IoE.
3) On-ground execution of various guest lectures and information sessions.
4) Organising a concert in the University in collaboration with HCL, under the HCL Concerts banner (Artist: Javed Ali).
5) Management of the IC3 Institute Counselor’s Cohort on their visit and stay at the Shiv Nadar IoE campus.
6) Young Environmentalist Program 2023: A two-day program for high-school students with immaculate focus on learning about the importance and conservation of the environment, and sustainability-driven practices.
Peer Support Guide
The Peer Support Guide network is part of a program designed to work closely with the mental health support team on the Shiv Nadar IoE campus and ensure they can hold the space for problems ranging from family issues, relationship issues, exam stress, queerness, depression, anxiety, suicidal thoughts, sexual harassment etc.
As a Peer Support Guide, my aim is to be a safe space for students to share their thoughts and voice their concerns, and act as a bridge between them and the counsellors.
Event Management Team, Sports Committee
As part of this team, I volunteered in the on-ground management of various events conducted by the Sports Committee of the University.
Student Co-ordinator, UNLEASH Shiv Nadar IoE Hackathon 2022
UNLEASH Shiv Nadar IoE Hackathon 2022 was a three-day sustainability challenge that brought together students with the aim of working together to create, generate ideas, come up with designs, build prototypes, and present proposals for solutions based on SDG-15: Life On Land.
UNLEASH is a global initiative that is committed to bringing the world’s top talent together to address life-based situations and conceive unique solutions, while keeping in mind the SDGs set up by the United Nations General Assembly, to achieve a sustainable feature for the globe.
My role as a Student Co-ordinator involved working in collaboration with UNLEASH Global and the administration of the University to ensure that the entire organisation of the event and the hospitality of the external participants was top notch.

Student Editor, The Point
The Point was the monthly newsletter of my University, which was dedicated to highlighting student, alumni and faculty achievements, university events, and more.
As a part of the editorial team, I worked on collating content from various departments and schools of the University, creating theme-specific content, writing reports on events conducted around the university, and editing the final draft.

As the Freshmen Coordinator of the club, I am tasked with creating a safe and friendly space for the incoming freshmen batch to voice their opinions, and being a bridge between them and the rest of the core team of the club.

Imprints - The Dramatics Society of SNU
Imprints is the dramatics society of Shiv Nadar Institution of Eminence. The club does various kinds of productions like street plays, stage plays, music videos, and short films.
As a member of the club, I have acted in a street play- Ankahi Kahaani, and a short film -Aadhe Adhure as part of an intra-club competition (Rangmanch 2022). I have also represented my University in a National Level Street Play competition as part of Antarnad 2022 at Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies (VIPS), Indraprastha University

InQube is a national-level multifaceted business challenge competition to discover, unite and reward the brightest young minds in Indian undergraduate colleges.
My role as a member of the Student Organising Committee involved the on-ground management of the participants, as well as co-hosting the Grand Finale.
